José Miguel Duarte worked in a Portuguese investment bank, between 1997 and 2017, having been involved as in-house counsel in several areas, namely financial services, capital markets and private equity transactions. Formerly he was Head of cabinet of the Secretary of State for Treasury and Legal Adviser in the Portuguese Securities Market Commission (CMVM). Holds a Master Degree in Commercial Law from Católica-Lisbon and a Law degree from the same University.
